Meet Our Grandchildren!

Posted by on 06/29

Two hundred nine children are here at Camp Forest Springs for a junior camp this week.  We were noticing a lot of familiar faces—familiar because they looked like campers who had been here twenty plus years ago.  We asked for a show of hands of the kids whose parents had been here for junior camp with the puppets.  Around 40 kids raised their hands and joined us for a picture in front of the time machine!

We are grateful for the ministry God allows us to have year after year here at camp.  Camp celebrates its 50th anniversary next year, and we have been here for over 30 of those years.
We echo the prayer of the psalmist who said, “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.” Psalm 71:18
(Just in case you were wondering, our own kids have not made us grandparents yet, but we are looking forward to it someday!)

Dear John and Diane, October-10th 2007!
Hello! How are you doing today? I am doing great!!
Sarah and I (David) like your (funny) puppets!!!!
I have learned alot of things through you both and your puppets, like about not being anxious about anything, and about loving God and pizza (I mean people!)I like to play with my trucks, and pretend to be Hairy with my puppets! God bless you both! Love, David!
